Making your website has never been easier.
Follow the steps below to generate a ready-to-use prompt that builds your custom website with AI โ in minutes.
Tell us about your project. Only your email is required โ everything else is optional.
Stored only in this browser's local storage โ never sent anywhere. Turn this off at any time.
Prompt History
Open Claude AI, paste your prompt, and let it build your website. Once it's ready, copy the HTML output into a file called index.html and upload it to your hosting.
Software Scientist is not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI.
Before you build, you need a place for your website to live. Grab a domain name and hosting plan to get started.
Once you have hosting, upload your index.html into the public_html folder. That's the whole deployment.
Paste this into a file called .htaccess in your hosting root for clean URLs (about, services, contact).
RewriteEngine On
# Redirect to HTTPS
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
# Remove trailing slash
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)/$ /$1 [L,R=301]
# Route clean URLs to index.html
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.html [L]Apache hosting only. Your website works fine without it.
Finished building your website? Submit the live URL so your project can be tracked.

One form, one prompt
Your answers become a complete technical brief โ pages, colours, contact links and layout rules included.
One file to upload
Everything comes back as a single index.html. No build tools, no folders, no framework versions.
Actually goes live
Learn how a domain and hosting fit together, then put your site at a real address people can visit.
Ready to put your website online?
Get reliable hosting and launch your website.
The parts of a website, explained plainly.
Short explainers for the things the builder assumes you know. Full lessons are being written.
How to build a website with AI
Describe the project, generate a detailed prompt, review what comes back, then refine it in small steps. The brief does most of the work.
What is HTML?
The structure of a page โ headings, paragraphs, links and sections, marked up so browsers and screen readers understand them.
How CSS works
The look. You select an element and describe its colour, spacing, type and layout, including how it changes on a small screen.
How JavaScript works
The behaviour. It reacts to clicks and taps and changes the page without reloading โ which is how one file acts like four pages.
How to buy a domain
A domain is rented, not owned. You pay a registrar each year to point that name at your hosting. Keep it short and easy to say aloud.
How web hosting works
Hosting is a computer that stays online and hands your files to visitors. Shared hosting is plenty for a single HTML file.
How to deploy an HTML website
Upload index.html into your host's public folder, usually public_html, then visit your domain. Nothing to compile.
What is .htaccess?
A small config file Apache reads on every request. It can force https, tidy trailing slashes and route unknown paths to index.html.
How clean URLs work
Instead of index.html#about, visitors see /about. The server serves the same file and JavaScript reads the path to pick a section.
Student websites will be published here.
This gallery is empty on purpose. Once students submit finished websites and those projects are reviewed, they'll appear here with credit to the person who built them.
Ideas on AI, prompts and building real websites.
Long-form, original articles โ not a list of links. New pieces are added as the course grows.

About Software Scientist
Software Scientist is an educational platform for people who want to learn technology by building something real, using the tools professionals actually use today.
Most beginners get stuck in the same place: they can follow a tutorial, but they can't start from a blank page and an idea. AI removes the blank page. What it doesn't remove is knowing what to ask for โ which is where this platform sits.
You describe a project in ordinary language, the platform turns it into a structured technical brief, and you watch how a precise instruction produces a precise result. Then you learn what the code does, how to put it online, and how to keep it working.
What we care about
- Real output. Every student finishes with a website at a real address, not a screenshot.
- Understanding over shortcuts. The AI writes the code; you should still be able to read and change it.
- Accessible by default. Semantic markup, keyboard support and readable contrast are requirements, not extras.
- Honesty about what's built. Features that don't exist yet are labelled as such.
Software Scientist operates at softwarescientist.in, with softwarescientist.org reserved for organisation and brand use.

Information you enter
When you use the prompt builder, the name, email, phone number and project details you type into the form stay in your own browser's local storage. They are not sent to a server, and Software Scientist does not currently operate a database that stores this information.
Prompt history
If you turn on "Save my generated prompts on this device", your generated prompts and related form data are saved in your browser's local storage so you can reopen them later. This is optional, stays on your device, and can be cleared at any time from the Prompt History section or by clearing your browser's site data.

No guarantee of outcome
The quality of a website built from a generated prompt depends on the AI tool you use to build it, and on how you refine its output. Software Scientist does not guarantee any particular result.

How we handle recommendations
Hosting is recommended because it suits beginners publishing a single HTML file. The recommendation would be the same with or without a commission, and any link that earns one is disclosed next to the button itself.
Cost to you
Referral commissions are paid by the provider out of their own margin. Buying through a referral link does not increase what you pay.
